Kane Wooi

Founder & Educator

Kane‘s journey began on the stage, not in the workshop. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he honed his craft at the prestigdious National Arts Culture and Heritage Academy (ASWARA) in Kuala Lumpur. He performed with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra for four years, even gracing stages in Singapore and Hong Kong.

In addition, his orchestral and concert band experiences include performing with Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Symphonic Band, Penang Symphony Orchestra, Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra, Perak Philharmonic Orchestra and Ipoh Philharmonic Orchestra. Being invited to play for The Phantom of the Opera World Tour in 2019, playing over 27 shows at Istana Budaya, Malaysia as a flutist and clarinetist was one of the best memories.

However, Kane‘s passion for music took an unexpected turn. In 2021, he established KANEYOUFIXIT, a repair studio in Petaling Jaya dedicated to bringing wind instruments back to life. This wasn’t a random leap – Kane‘s commitment to excellence led him to become the first Straubinger Certified Flute Technician in Malaysia. He further solidified his expertise by becoming the Authorized Distributor of Sankyo Flutes.

Kane‘s mission is clear: He believes a well-maintained instrument allows musicians of all levels to express themselves freely. Leveraging his experience from the Yamaha Authorized Service Centre under the guidance of Mr Tan Eng Pin, Kane strives to provide the best quality service for music enthusiasts both locally and internationally.

Kane‘s story is one of dedication, continuous learning, and a passion for music that extends beyond the stage. He hopes to continue to inspire and empower musicians for generations to come.
